It’s HERE! come by and see it…it is beautiful!
Evelyn’s Hope Chest
A beautiful packed Jacobean floral print from the Smithsonian was the starting point for this group by Carrie Quinn (Pieceful Gathering Quilt Shop). Carrie also took inspiration from the Lane hope chests that were popular in the 1960s and 70s, mostly storing quilts that were largely stitched by hand at the time and saved for marriage. The collection is named after Carrie's youngest granddaughter, Evelyn, who loves pink. "I wanted to concentrate on soft pinks and chocolate browns, with red accents. I don't expect Evie to save the quilt that I will make her for marriage, but I am hoping she will love it, as a special reminder of her "Grama."

Why “Sallie Tomato” for a Name?
If you are wondering about the name “Sallie Tomato,” like I was here it is…”The name of my shop developed around my middle name, Sallie. Also, the tomato pin cushion is the main part of my name and logo design because I create sewing patterns.”

A message from Tula Pink:
“Graywork is a followup to my black and white collection titled ‘Linework’ from 2020. This is a neutral collection designed in various shades of gray to fill the spaces between the rainbows.
Graywork began as a collection of all gray prints and slowly blossomed to include touches of color to spice things up. I find it impossible to leave something completely void of color.
For the main prints of the collection I focused on animals that live their lives in shades of gray; Wolves, Bears, Snow Leopards, Puffins and Sea Lions. These eight prints are big and illustrative, packed with details designed for fussy cutting as the stars of the show.
The coordinating prints are variations on existing True Colors prints and filling in the gradients of grays. The multi-colored Stripe is back on both a soft gray and a charcoal gray ground, and the Poms have been added to the party in a new rainbow version to coordinate with the stipes. You will find new medium and dark shades of Fairy Dust sprinkled in amongst the classic tonal grays for backgrounds and blending. The last thing that I felt this collection really needed was something that could act like a solid which came in the form of new Tiny Dots and a brand-new print of tonal repeating triangles called Kinda Shady.
While packed with artistic details, this collection is designed - first and foremost - to be useful. Leave it be or add in my other collections for maximum versatility.”
